Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about our programs and mentoring
Programs
We operate across more than 20 schools throughout Pima County. Community-based groups are available for drop-in participation. Adventure Outings and Weekends welcome teen boys and masculine-identified youth. Contact [email protected] or check the event calendar.
We serve youth ages 13-18 in school-based groups. Community-based groups extend support up to age 24.
Community-based groups operate throughout Pima County with no registration needed. You can also contact your school administration about launching the program.
We do not offer one-on-one mentoring. Our weekly talking circles use the restorative circle framework, integrating social-emotional learning to address behavior, resolve conflicts, and repair harm.
For Mentors
Only background-checked, trained mentors may observe. We recommend attending a Mentor Facilitation Training to get started.
About 2 hours per week — 1 hour for the circle plus 20 minutes pre-session and post-session debrief.
You can mentor through Adventure Outings, Challenge Weekends, Community Circles, the Advisory Committee, or the Board of Directors. See our Get Involved page.
